Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, born in 1957 in Babylon, Iraq, is a distinguished chemical engineer and academic leader. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering in 1978 and later obtained his Ph.D. in Chemical Thermodynamics from the University of London in 1991. Dr. Majdi has dedicated his career to academia and research, with a focus on renewable energy and heat transfer. He has held the position of President at Al-Mustaqbal University in Babylon, Iraq, where he has also been associated with the Department of Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Industries.

Throughout his academic tenure, Dr. Majdi has contributed significantly to scientific literature. His research encompasses topics such as adsorption techniques for dye removal, advancements in absorption cooling cycles, and the development of heterogeneous catalysts for hydroisomerization and hydrocracking processes.
